One advantage of dressing in white is that it helps people think you’re a city slicker.
Then you can correct them.
Unfortunately for most people, the good Mr. Hunter corrects them with FIRE.
Yep, all that was required to make a western steampunk webcomic great has now been fulfilled;
– Cyborg animals & awesome weaponry CHECK
– Kickass main characters that destroy stuff CHECK
– Incredibly beautiful western scenery CHECK
– A gorgeous black horse serving as fanservice for every girl who grew up with undying love for Black Beauty/The Black Stallion CHECK
– Characters that squint their eyes CHECK
I reckon them’s fightin’ words.
Thankfully, I’m feeling peacable, so I’ll just take the horse.
The artist spends years, decades, learning to depict a guy that readers will know at first sight is seriously BAD. None of the other characters in the story notice.
As it always goes.
Well, to be fair, the head rancher has most of the visual hallmarks of “bad guy” as well – he just doesn’t realise that there’s a bigger shark present.
Watch out boys! He’s got a cigar!
Also, for just having met JHH, Van Cleef-a-like sure got nasty very quickly.
I’m going to throw my hat in the ring and say this horse is Clubs. One of the hands called him a brute and I’m taking my cue from that. I associate brutes with clubs. *shrugs
And because I can’t stop making observations, I’m guessing that Diamonds came before Hearts. This doesn’t bode well for “Clubs”. Every deck needs spades as well to make it complete.
